BAA operates as a non-governmental voluntary organization that implements short- and long-term projects throughout Armenia and abroad. Apart from the “hard” projects, BAA also carries out various other activities for its membership and beneficiaries, such as regular socializing events, one-off actions, meetings and discussions, dinners and so on. The funding for BAA projects normally comes from donor agencies such as DFID and FCO and for other activities through contributions from private donors and BAA members.

BAA’s trademark socializing activity for its members is the weekly Friday-night party held at the BAA head-office in Yerevan. The “Friday-nights” give the BAA members an opportunity to meet each other on a weekly basis and invite their friends and guests to a good company.
